This violin was made by Franz Diener in 1843. LOB 355mm. It also has another small label that says “D 12” and is consistent with the label of the maker. This is a very good piece of work from the middle of 19th century Germany. The neck is grafted and it has its original scroll that is very nicely rounded by the hands of time. If this instrument were made 200 miles south of Germany, it would have been worth over $100,000 for its sound and workmanship. The instrument is in wonderful condition for its age with minimal scratches on its surface. Its sound is stunningly clear in all its registers. The instrument is fully restored with all new fixtures. This, and many other instruments that we present here on eBay and in our shop, can also be rented. Please contact us if you need a good instrument for a special occasion.
