Dr. Mira Kang, hailed as a prodigious cellist from a young age, made her debut at the age of 16 as a soloist with the esteemed Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of the late Jae Dong Jeong, one of South Korea's most influential conductors and musicians. Since then, her musical prowess has taken her to many illustrious stages across the globe. Her performances have been featured at the Seoul International Music Festival, broadcasted live on national radio, and showcased on MBC television of South Korea. She has also enchanted audiences at prestigious concert halls such as Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Concert Hall, Miller Theater, and Borden Auditorium in New York, as well as major concert venues in South Korea.

An avid chamber musician, Mira has collaborated with many exceptional artists, including saxophonist Dr. Paul Cohen, Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society clarinetist Maureen Hurd, violinist Brennan Sweet, and Grammy award-nominated pianist Allison Franzetti. Her love for chamber music and music education inspired her to found and direct Veritas Youth Orchestra, a string chamber ensemble group comprised of highly accomplished teenage players.

Mira Kang's passion for music extends beyond performance. She is also a dedicated educator, regularly invited to music festivals such as ASTA/Chamber Music Institute, where she conducts cello workshops and serves as a faculty member since 2013. Her reputation as a noted pedagogue has also earned her invitations to adjudicate competitions and conduct cello and chamber music master classes. Mira's teaching studio has produced top prizewinners in international competitions and national level auditions. Currently, she is a faculty member at the Rutgers Community Arts of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and serves as the artistic director of Veritas Youth Orchestra. She is also one of the distinguished artists and artistic advisors in Collegium Musicum of New Jersey and the Honorary artist of Global Music Partnership.

Dr. Mira Kang holds degrees from Seoul National University, Manhattan School of Music and Rutgers University. She is also a proud graduate of Yewon School and Seoul Art high school in Seoul, Korea.
