3. Shipping Policy
- Orders are shipped within 1–2 business days unless otherwise noted.
- We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, with tracking numbers provided.
- Local pickup at our Princeton store may be available upon request.
4. Return & Trade-In Policy
We proudly offer:
- 14-day return policy, no questions asked
- 100% credit trade-in policy toward an instrument of higher value
- 1-year guarantee on work and parts for instruments purchased from us
Deductions from trade-in value apply only to:
- Heavy wear and tear
- Used strings
- Re-haired bows
5. Service Restrictions & Exclusions
We maintain strict service policies to focus on our instruments and clients:
❌ We do not service instruments recently purchased elsewhere, including internet retailers or other stores.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Repair of cracks
- Warped or fallen bridges
- Sound-post adjustments
- Professional assessments of value or condition
Exceptions:
- Family heirlooms
- Musicians who have relocated to the area recently with their instruments
- University students or professors new to the region
- Educators who are established clients of Princeton Violins
❌ We also do not install strings or parts purchased over the internet or other shops.
6. Lifetime String Changes (for Our Customers)
? All instruments purchased from Princeton Violins include lifetime string changes at no extra fee (just purchase the strings through us).
- Violin/Viola: Save $20 per change
- Cello: Save $40 per change
We include:
- Full inspection
- Lubrication
- Adjustment of bridge, nut, and pegs
For instruments not purchased from us, string change labor is charged as follows:
- $20 for violin/viola
- $40 for cello
7. Price Matching
We proudly offer the best string pricing in the region, and we will match reputable online dealers. Just show us the advertised price.
