5A. Instrument Trial Policy
Instrument trials involve significant preparation time, detailed setup work, and an assumption of responsibility for the instrument while it is out of the shop. This includes exposure to environmental risks, handling risks, and potential damage—matters that are normally addressed through our service and insurance policies.
For this reason, instrument trials are offered primarily to students and players working with teachers or institutions with whom we have an established professional relationship or a collaborative evaluation process. This framework allows us to stand fully behind the instrument during the trial period and to manage risk, service, insurance, and responsibility appropriately.
Instrument trials are part of an integrated service model and are intended for musicians who are building a longer-term relationship with Princeton Violins. We reserve the right to limit or decline instrument trials based on these considerations.
